Grand Large Yachting announces their acquisition of the world famous Gunboat catamaran brand.
The founders and senior managers of Grand Large Yachting had admired Gunboat’s brand and tradition of innovation for years – and they couldn’t believe their fortune when the stars aligned and it became possible for them to become its owners.
As Xavier Demarest, the President of GLY’s Outremer Yachting division said, “We started talking with Gunboat years ago. By adding our operational strength to Gunboat’s brand recognition and innovative designs, our whole group will benefit for years to come. Gunboat is the pinnacle of world cruising catamarans.”
Grand Large Yachting President Stephan Constance said, “We are honored to be managing the Gunboat brand, and we are determined to build on their market leading qualities. Gunboat is more than a yacht or a brand. It’s a way of life – and we are thrilled to be part of the same family.”
“GLY is looking forward to bringing our operational and customer service disciplines to the Gunboat team. We are committed to taking the customer experience to the next level,” said Benoit Lebizay, Managing Director of GLY’s Garcia Yachting Division.
Grand Large Yachting has built the Allures Yachting, Garcia Yachting and Outremer Yachting brands into award winning, world-renowned ocean-going sailboat manufacturers. The acquisition of Gunboat will be followed soon by the announcement of a new Group structure, as well as details of new Gunboat projects over the coming months.
